Many outsourcing companies today offer Fast Forward
for address correction. This may or may not be adequate
for your needs. For instance, over the past six
months, organizations that we service have expressed
concern on the accuracy of the Fast Forward system.
After much research, we realized that Direct Correct
coupled with NCOA systems plus LOL would greatly
enhance the data accuracy. In a sampling test of
100,000 records, Fast Forward returned 9,350 address
corrections while Direct Correct returned 23,382.
Thus, on June 1, 2003, Direct Bill implemented the
Direct Correct v2.0 system patch.
NCOA PROCESS DEFINED
National Change of Address [NCOA] processing is
a service that can make you aware of address changes
in your mailing list. With National Change of Address
[NCOA] you are made aware of new addresses that
you can use to update your mailing list to make
sure that everyone is receiving your mail.
By using our National Change of Address [NCOA] product,
you send us your current database with the names
and address that you would like us to update. If
we find a record on your database that has filed
a change of address card with the U.S.P.S
within the past 4 years, then we are able to provide
you with the new, forwarding address for that record.
This enables you to update your database to maintain
the relationship with this record, even if they
have moved!
National Change of Address [NCOA] also brings your
mailing list in compliance with new postal regulations
that require a "move update" service be
performed on your mailing list at least within the
last 6 months prior to any first class mailing.
